About Me:
Ken Jordan grew up listening to Elvis Presley and watching the movies. At 5 years old Ken was shaking his leg to the music. Through the years he developed a great respect and admiration for Elvis. As a young teen Ken started to sing in churches and eventually started to do Elvis Tribute shows. Things seem to move forward quickly and doors opened every where after that. Ken performed in The Myrtle Beach Opry and The Paladium Theater. He came very close to having his own music theater during that time. Then it was on to Las Vegas where Ken was featured in a TBS special called "Elvis USA". While in Las Vegas Ken met Elvis' long time friend Eddie Fadel. Eddie told Ken that he did a great job and he admired his humbleness and don't stop doing this, Elvis would be proud. Ken had a Gospel album come out produced by a well known southern gospel artist Tim Green, some of the songs were heard all over the US and Canada including a few written by Ken and his brother Philip Jordan. Ken sang in concert with several well known Gospel groups including The Kingsmen, The Hoppers, and others to a crowd of over 7,000 people. Then came the day Ken performed with Elvis' original backup group The Jordanaires. This was the highlight of Ken's career. The guys were so impressed and drawn to Ken's act that Ray Walker stopped the show and said to the audience, "Folks , you're witnessing something really different, this is the first time we had anybody that even resembled Elvis and Elvis himself would be proud". Then they invited him after the concert to sit with them and sign their pictures for the fans. Ken was so humbled by this.
Today Ken has a NEW SHOW! Ken's shows still feature mostly Elvis songs, he also does a little country, classic rock, pop, blues, and gospel!
Ken is so thankful to God for Elvis and to all the Elvis fans and friends who made these events possible. It is evident that Ken's Tribute to Elvis is still second to none. His vocals are better than ever. Currently working on a new CD and book, both will be titled HE MADE THE JAILHOUSE ROCK. Ken has never really been into the contest thing, surely not because of a fear of not winning. It's never been about who may be the best or whatever. It's about touching people's lives through the music and the love. There was only one ELVIS PRESLEY!
