So, I seem to put my foot in my mouth and ruffle feathers a bit on this site, which is pretty weird considering I am the type of person who avoids conflict like the plague! Basically I just want the Tributes Radio site to be nice and fair for everyone. I am very glad that Bill started this, although he probably thinks I've turned out to be a problem child! I promise that has never been my intent!!
So, how have I screwed up? Let me count mine ways :-)
1.) The Rap Crap....ruffled a few feathers…

Marge Broadbent, Longtime Elvis fan and ETA Supporter has passed away. She was 74. In the early days of the Images Contests, She and I always sat at one of the front tables at Bad Bob's Vapors in Memphis and then a few times at the Holiday Inn Select. She was such a sweet person. She always loved to watch Kevin Mills, Vince Preston and Ray Guillemette Jr perform. She had an extensive Elvis collection. She would also help out ETAs onstage by doing the valet thing. I miss her as will all who knew…

Elvis Influenced by Dean Martin
This was an interesting article I found on Elvis and Dean Martin,it is long,if you have the time its a nice read.
Having read many times that Dean didn't like Elvis,it seems so unfitting.
Althought this does not state the fact at all,it is purely about Elvi…

Life isn’t always easy. Some say life is a struggle, a challenge. We often hear the saying “up a creek without a paddle.” Life can be a test, you’re either prepared or unprepared. Who we become as adults is greatly influenced by the way we are raised as children. The abilities and skills to survive and excel in this test of life are forever ingrained in us by our parents and educators. In this fast-paced ever evolving world, the prepared are able to rise to the challenges of life and fortune of…

our celebrations will begin.
America commemorates
it's birthday once again.
There will be the usual fireworks...
American flags will be displayed.
The song "Star Spangled Banner"
across our Nation will be played.
When we hear our National Anthem,
If you're able ... you should Stand.
By this action you will honor
all who died to save our land.
The Valiant Men and Women
who gave their "lives" in freedoms fight...
Had families just like…

One of the best things about being an Elvis Tribute Artist..is all the great people I have met.
I would not know a lot of the local newscasters an all three chanels and Radio personalities if they have not done stories on me in the past and having me help on charities that were telecast.
Also all of the people that have hired me to entertain at various functions over the years. I always feel as if I have met new friends when I leave a show.
Most of my friends and relationships have been because…

Part Three: Tony Stewart At Graceland . . .
When we chose the dates for our Graceland trip, it was by pure coincidence that we happened to pick the day that former NASCAR champion Tony Stewart was also going to be there at Graceland. What a great coincidence it was because I love cheering for Tony in the races. Although I cheer for all the Indiana drivers, "Smoke" is my favorite. Tony Stewart has a weekly radio show on SIRIUS radio and he was broadcasting his show from Graceland the same day we…

Our trip to Memphis and Graceland was an amazing trip. It was short and very brief, unfortunately, but it was very enjoyable at the same time. I would not pass up the opportunity to go to Graceland, so I will take what I can get and not complain one way or another.
We began our trip on Sunday, May 11th, which was Mother's Day. I began the day by celebrating Mass at St. Margaret's Church. After Mass and the coffee hour was over, I changed clothes from my black clerical suit to my comfortable jea…

Our Trip To Memphis and Tupelo . . . . Part one
Last week (From May 11 through May 14, 2008) we took our trip down to Memphis and Tupelo. It had been a long time coming since I was able to get back to Memphis. It was 10 years ago since I made my first trip to visit Memphis. I've been saying ever since that I've wanted to return there but despite all of my longing and determination and efforts to get there, it took me ten long years to finally return. We started out our journey after church on S…

Overall, I was very pleased with our two-night stay at the Graceland Days Inn. While we were planning our vacation to visit Graceland in Memphis, I was searching for a motel for us to stay at. I searched for the motel listings here on Yahoo! and narrowed my "list" to two-- Graceland Days Inn and the Heartbreak Hotel. I read through all of the comments/reviews regarding the two motels. I have to admit that the reviews written about the Days Inn were pretty positive for the most part---although th…

We Welcome You . . . .
One year ago, a handful of dedicated, faithful Christians began meeting together with the intention of forming a church. In that time, a small church has sprung up in this very neighborhood. The name of this church is St. Margaret Anglican Church, located at 10450 N. College Avenue. The founding members had one intention in mind----to build a church where they could gather together as a Christian family and worship God in a devout, traditional worship service.
When you t…

Several years ago, At the Images of the King Competition, we met an ETA that was using the name Elvis Allen or possibly ALAN. His performance was awesome, but he got passed over by the judges as a lot of deserving guys are every year. We actually sat with him and his wife and he told us that he was one of the Elvises performing in Branson. Does anyone know how to get in touch with him? Thanks all.

Hey guys, I was just wondering as you do after watching a marathon of Elvis films, what fans and eta's thought about Elvis's desire to pursue acting. I would love to know what you think about this topic.
From a personal point of view I think it was such an injustice, that he never got the opportunity to fully develop this amazing skill he had.
I always think about it when people make light of the films that he did star in. Because I believe that he had a real natural talent for acting and in h…

On the subject of more pictures:
Our tax rebate should be here this Saturday. We're gonna get a brand new digital camera, as we have NO camera at all right now. If you don't know the story of what happened to our other camera a year ago, be sure to ask about that story if you're ever in a depressed mood. It might make ya smile. LoL
Now, even with the camera, I'm still gonna…

When you lose someone close to you, either a family member or a close friend or just someone you meet on the street. It always hurts and the pain never goes away. It just gets easier to deal with each day. When your feeling down remember your loved ones are always around if only in spirit.
And they would say keep your chin up because God has a plan for each one of us.

Went to Barnes and Nobles, as is our Friday night ritual, and read almost an entire book! This book was so interesting because it basically asked the question, "what's your purpose in life?" It went on to talk about visions and causes and how people mistake the two. The author gave an example of a young man whose vision was to become a millionaire by the time he was thirty. He was so determined, but years later he disappeared, never reaching his goal. Then another man had a loftier ambition-to h…

Here I am, standing at the gate
The clock strikes midnight, it's getting late
I turn to walk back to the car
then a soulful voice from beyond the iron bar
A voice so distant, yet close to my heart
I knew who it was right from the start
"Elvis" I said, "is that you?"
If he'd answer back, I had no clue
Then from the garden, he began to speak
Standing on my toes, I tried to peek
Then the voice, I felt it in my soul
"Where'd all those people come from, what is there goal?"
"To pay homage to you" I s…

I am interested in what you all think about the state in which the ETA contest world is in. There are many opinion's, and that is great, we have to embrace this, that we may make a difference.
