Permalink Reply by Jenny on June 8, 2008 at 2:56am: Willie Mae Thorton ( Big Mama) recorded this in 1952, wtitten by Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller, many have sung this song! 5 country version's in 1953 by Billy Starr, Tommy Duncan, Eddie Hazelwood, Jack Turner, Cleve Jackson.
Other' also include, John Entwhisle (The Who), Jimi Hendrix, Hendrix and Little Richard, Everly Brother's, Jerry Lee lewis, John Lennon, Billy "Crash" Craddock! MMMMMMMM, lol, Johnny Burnette Trio, Robert Palmer, Gene Vincent & His Blue Caps, Eric Clapton, and I'm sure many many more!!!!
