Tributes Radio

Hey, everyone.
I take a lot of pride in making sure that everyone knows I care about them. I've always been that way with my friends.

But, I think I may be missing the mark here a little bit.

A while back, someone said how there seemed to be a lot of competition on this site, and that we should all show support to one another... also, that joining one another's groups would be the best way to show that support.

Well, I'm honest... I haven't joined anyone's group.
But, there's a perfectly good reason.

For one, I'm a stay at home parent, of 2 children.
(thanks, by the way, for all of the wonderful Father's Day words)

I stay pretty busy.

The other thing is this... up until 2 days ago, until I switched Internet Service, my computer was being way too slow.
This site, in particluar, was wayyyy slow.

So, now that summer is here, and I'm not all alone with the kids, I have a bit more time to do other things.

So, all this jabber I'm going on with sums up to one thing...
I apologize to anyone that I may have failed in any small way, as a friend.

So, if any of the following applies to you, please contact me!

** Have you sent me a message and I didn't respond?

** Wanted me to join your group? Send me the invite again, as I have a better way now of keeping up with what I've done and haven't done

I don't write this to ask anyone to join my group.
Perfectly good reason...
I'd rather have a small amount of friends that are really just thrilled about my versions of Elvis' songs, than a large number of people on my 'friend list' that have never even exchanged 2 words with me.
My entire goal in joining this site was to reach people on a deep, meaningful level. I hope I've done that.

Now, if you want me to join your group, please let me know again.
I'll be happy to talk, I am good at researching and helping people find useful stuff... so, rest assured, if I join your group, i won't just be a number. I'll really try to be there for ya.

Thanks, everyone!

Walter

from all that you have told me that you do with and for your children, I know that you are the best father that any child could possibly ever want!

Huuuugs Charmaine xoxo
PS I wish I had a father like you when I was a child :)

Charmiane, you have said lots of nice stuff to me, but that about me as a father is probably about the best ever. Thanks so much.

I mean, believe me, I make my mistakes.
It's a constant, daily struggle as a parent to remind yourself that these little critters aren't adults yet... they're gonna forget stuff, and have to be reminded of things.... and, sometimes, they're gonna be downright mean and press buttons. LoL

We took Jacob and Emma to a waterpark just today... it has all of these sprinklers and stuff. Anyway, this one kid (accidentally) knocked Jacob over.
We were probably... 20 feet away.
In that crowd of people, seeing his eyes squinted thru water, hollering, "Daddy!!"... I can't explain it. That feeling of, "Hey, I belong to someone. Out of every person here, it's me being needed here."
Those moments mean the world.

What's going on up there in Canada right now?
